Yerevan, August 6, 2025 — There are songs for the soul, and then there are lullabies—tender, timeless whispers that cradle the heart. Anushik Alaverdyan’s debut album, “Մանրատերեւ”, is both: a collection of seven regionally inspired lullabies, finally released after a decade-long dream to honor mothers—and the little ones they gently rock to sleep.
The journey began ten years ago, on a night of soft breathing and sleepy murmurs. As Anushik sang her daughter herself to sleep, she realized the emotional weight and simple beauty of those tunes—so much so, she felt they deserved to exist beyond memory.
These lullabies aren’t originals—far from it. They’re drawn from classic, regional melodies steeped in cultural warmth. The real magic was in reimagining them—breathing fresh life into familiar comfort, creating a tender collision of heritage and new interpretation.
Anushik’s husband, Karén Mamikonyan, took the helm of the album’s instrumentation. The result? A lovingly arranged, fully live sound—intimate and authentic. It’s as if the music breathes alongside you.
Good things are patient things. The timeline stretched not for lack of desire, but because every element—from arrangement to performance—needed to feel just right. It was a deeply personal project, and every detail mattered.
