Patrick Fiori Opens Up About His Armenian Roots and Eurovision Ambitions

September 1, 2025

YEREVAN, June 5, 2025 — Renowned French-Armenian singer Patrick Fiori recently shared two deeply moving dreams tied to his Armenian heritage: performing in Republic Square, Yerevan, and representing Armenia at Eurovision 2027, in a heartfelt duet with a young Armenian singer.

The reflections came through Armenian journalist and translator Artak Herikyan, who drew from touching stories about Fiori’s ancestral home in Shushi—now a symbol of both family history and cultural memory. Fiori recalled the “forgotten house” of his family in Shushi and the promise from his father to leave behind a box revealing the full tragedy woven into that legacy.

Fiori also described how, before performing his song “Les montagnes d’Arménie” (“Mountains of Armenia”), he feels the weight of tradition mixed with hope:

“I sing in my way of telling your path… the soil I once took from your hands will become a unique garden… where children play and dance, where trees blossom in green…”

This moment of personal performance led him into a poignant revelation: his two Armenian dreams. First, to sing on the iconic Republic Square in Yerevan—bringing his voice back to the heart of his ancestral homeland. And second, to one day represent Armenia at Eurovision 2027, alongside a young Armenian artist, through a duet that bridges generations.

Why It Matters

  1. A Cultural HomecomingFiori’s dreams underscore his profound emotional and cultural attachment to Armenia, emphasizing the significance of artistic return and shared heritage.
  2. A Bridge Between GenerationsHis vision of performing Eurovision with a young Armenian singer highlights the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and cultural transmission.
  3. Heritage, Memory, and MusicThrough his reflections on Shushi and his family’s past, Fiori’s story brings attention to how music can become a living archive—carrying memory, resilience, and hope in its melodies.
